Virtual Flaneurism

Part of the funny here is that the artist didn't do their research -- LBT has long passed XII and even has a thirteenth installment.

Initially looking at this, I did not want to post it, thinking the topic too morbid. But reading the infographic, I realized how ignorant I was of what stoning actually is, and how it is even more despicable than I'd imagined, and decided this information was worth passing on, even if only to inspire similar disgust in others -

Oh my god, I'm going to be facting relatives all OVER this Thanksgiving table.

Can't sleep, so here's a new term for you kids: Bershon. From Urban Dictionary:

"A word describing the irritated look of young people in photographs that they have been forced to take for their relatives.

“Bershon is pretty much how you feel when you’re 13 and your parents make you wear a Christmas sweatshirt and then pose for a family picture, and you could not possibly summon one more ounce of disgust, but you’re also way too cool to really even DEAL with it, so you just make this face like you smelled something bad and sort of roll your eyes and seethe in a put-out manner.” - Sarah Brown

NOTE: Reading the "Who Took Part" section of this outline of the study is mid-boggling. 18 partners in the past three months? 5+ drinks a day (while taking untested medication)? 60% having had unprotected anal sex in the past six months? Forget the STD rates in the participants.

Seriously, step it up, gay men. Condoms are not so uncomfortable, not so hard to find. It upsets me even more than I believe plenty of people would attempt to "ignore" the seriousness of these statistics because the participants are from poorer regions in South American countries.

Anyway, good news, depressing statistics among participants.
