D.C. United becomes the first MLS team to film a video for the It Gets Better Project!

I've organized a group to go to an MLS Soccer game this Wednesday, and you can bet your buttons that this will be me:

The video uploader wants you to think this is a video of good soccer -- at least, by the left. No, this is just all around bad soccer. Very, very bad soccer.

I agree with this wholeheartedly, though I must add that the reason Americans and Australians originally deemed football "soccer" is from a nickname that caught on: the game was Association Football, and the players took the "soc" and turned it into "soccer". Why it isn't pronounced "sosher", I cannot tell you.

EDIT: Though it is ridiculous that we call our sport football, for the very reasons Cleese brings up.

Seriously, though, David Beckham is gorgeous, but he genuinely looks like he's been bitch-slapped by Golgothan in this shot.

This is true on so many levels. Every game sounds like its taking place inside a god damn bee hive.
