"I honestly think the best thing you can do each and every day to get happy is incrementally work toward creative goals that are heart-burstingly fulfilling. No matter how daunting and unlikely the prospect of success. I mean, I’ve been quasi-skint my whole adult life living in a very expensive city and I’ve launched a TON of things that died or broke and have taken financial risks—but if not now then when? In fact, in the next two years, I’m launching no less than SIX independently published, creator-owned projects with my brother and his fiancĂ©e Sonia Oback, who is a super-sick colorist. And those projects will wobble like newborn foal and munch through our savings but, man, it’s so thrilling. I’m not rash and foolhardy enough to buy property or have children, so in the meantime if I can just move forward and leave a trail of creative things that I adored putting together, I think I’ll be happy as much as it’s in my control to be happy. Basically, I think if everyone learned to live like me and followed my teachings they would rule so much harder than if they just went blindly living how they’re inclined to. Oh, and consume other creative’s things. All the time. Gorge. And applaud. And be covetous. And tell them you hate them to their faces."

Very interest quiz that tests your ability to multi-task. At left are my own scores, though I'd like to point out that I kept getting distracted by an episode of Seinfeld, so I wasn't necessarily as focused as the test intended me to be. Of course, that just makes a separate but equally valid point about multi-tasking.

Stolen from Kristie: Pink Dolphin! Sounds like an unfortunate sexual position.

That is all.

My favorite band Locksley teaches you how to play along with their single "The Whip" for "Whip Week". Adorable.

Oh Coolio...how time has ravaged your adequate looks.

Seriously, though, it is time to cut down the corn rows when the cornfield ain't sprouting.

Okay, the first three and a half minutes of this video are of little entertainment value. But when he plummets into his Novocaine-lipped super riffs at 3:30...that is where the video magic is.

The energy in this one is higher, and for a handheld camera recording, the sound quality is superb:

I just bought a slew of tickets for the HGTR show in town this July. Right now the extras are unclaimed - any interested parties should hit me up. I can toss you their CD as well - I really, really enjoy their music, though if your music taste is limited to dance pop and rap, they're not probably going to be a match for you.
