It is worth saying that I started a real, full-time job two weeks ago, and given that it is not a desk job, I lack computer access until I get home at 6:15. You can only imagine the embarrassing media withdrawal I have been going through of late. Seriously: I spent the entire year with a computer on my lap and am now lucky if I can check my e-mail for ten minutes during lunch. I feel like I've lost a very reliable friend, though, as some have said, this daily separation is going to be a very, very good thing.
Obviously this hasn't effected my posting frequency - I am averaging the same number of poss per day as I have - though they will all invariably come in the evening. I suppose what I'm saying here is expecting posts at 2 pm on a weekday is only going to end in tears and soiled pants (which coincidentally is invariably what I will be dealing with at that time).
As always (or perhaps as never stated before) suggestions are always welcome. Credit given where credit is due.
Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul & Mary writes impassioned cease and desist letter to National Organization for Marriage after their use of their recording "This Land is Your Land":
Just bought Ingrid Michaelson tickets for this October! She is absolutely amazing in concert, and if you have ears, you are hereby obligated to attend one of her shows.
I absolutely adore these cloud-shaped shelves from Swedish design company DesignTorget. I would love to decorate my future children's rooms with these -and dozens and dozens of books, of course.
I'm not sure what "shame" this video is supposed to be referencing, but it might be that they both throw like prepubescent girls (see around 2:00). Oh, and the bar side/karaoke duet about Toys 'R Us is certainly in the mix.
PS. Didn't Robbie Williams make a big stink about not being gay? Was that just another one of the tricks of the homosexual elite?
"In 2005, “Cathy” creator Cathy Guisewite decided to finally marry off Cathy to long-time boyfriend Irving. Both characters also appear to be crying (or sweating) quite a bit. Cathy presumably due to joy, Irving presumably due to the fact that he’s marrying a woman whose bridesmaid is her dog." - Guyism
Of course, your impulse is not always the right answer -- often your impulse is just the easy answer (which makes sense that it is often the right answer, too, because it should generally be easy to do what is right for you). Ramble ramble ramble
